A Lovely Afternoon in Antigua

Today my group took a trip into Antigua for some sightseeing and lunch. We have been so fully emerged in the Guatemalan diet that we didn't feel the slightest bit guilty about going to "LA Hamburguesa Gigante" (The Giant Hamburger) for lunch. Let me tell you it tasted good. It was also probably the prettiest and definitely the cheapest hamburger resturaunt I have even been too.

  1. Can you tell if that rug is always there or just for a special occasion? Clearly it's roped off, so not to be walked on. I also see lots of flowers around the alter. Real? Love the candle kiosk. ¡Muy colorido!

    1. This rug is definitely longer-term than the others for Holy Week which are made and walked over in the same day. I think this one was just around for a couple months around Easter. The flowers were real. They pull out all the stops for Holy Week. Most of the carpets that are made are actually really expensive.
